The Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers is committed to honoring our fallen heroes through continued service, remembrance, education, and community engagement across the state of Georgia.

Through outreach events, partnerships, volunteerism, and public awareness initiatives, our members work to support veterans, military families, active-duty service members, and the Gold Star Community while preserving the legacy of those who gave their lives in service to our nation.

May 21, 2026

State of Georgia Memorial Day Ceremony

Members of the Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers participated in the State of Georgia Memorial Day Ceremony at the Georgia State Capitol to honor the sacrifices of our nation’s fallen heroes and recognize the enduring strength of their families.

This event brought together veterans, military leaders, public officials, and Gold Star families in a shared moment of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.

Port Wentworth, Georgia

Stand Up for America

The Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers was honored to participate in the Stand Up for America events in Port Wentworth, Georgia. From the evening gala to the community parade, our mothers stood together in remembrance, pride, and continued service while representing the voices and sacrifices of Gold Star families across Georgia.

Lacrosse Invitational

During the Army vs. Michigan Lacrosse Invitational at Morehouse College, Gold Star Mothers were warmly welcomed while helping raise awareness about the experiences and sacrifices of families of the fallen.

American Legion Post 160

Gold Star Family Event

On May 23rd, the American Legion Post 160 held a heartfelt program and lunch to honor the Families of the Fallen. This special event brought together community members to pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Attendees shared, memories, support, fostering a sense of unity and gratitude. It was a meaningful day dedicated to remembering and celebrating the lives of our heroes.
