Operation Holiday Salute
Honoring Our Veterans in Hospice Care
The Georgia American Gold Star Mothers proudly participated in Operation Holiday Salute, a heartfelt campaign to bring joy and recognition to Veterans in hospice care. This year, thanks to the extraordinary leadership of our Community Service Chair, Sally Dixon, and the support of her family, the Jester Family, our members, and community volunteers came together to sign and collect an incredible 2,975 Christmas cards.
Special thanks go out to Sally Dixon for organizing card-signing luncheons, fostering a spirit of togetherness, and ensuring that every card carries a message of gratitude and love. We also extend our deepest appreciation to the families and individuals who contributed, whether by signing cards or supporting the effort in other meaningful ways.
This initiative reflects the heart of what we do—honoring the memory of our fallen heroes by serving Veterans and their families in their time of need. Together, we show that no Veteran is forgotten, especially during the holiday season.
