Welcome to the Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers

We are delighted to welcome you to the official website of the Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers. We are a membership of Gold Star Mothers of Fallen Heroes from all branches of service. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to volunteering our services to the Veteran, Active Duty, and Gold Star communities in honor of our sons and daughters. Our membership honors all manner of deaths and all who raised their right hand to serve this great nation are heroes.

We also welcome fathers, step-fathers, siblings, and grandparents of fallen service members as associate members, joining us in our mission to honor and support the families of our heroes.

A PRAYER FOR OUR BELOVED SONS & DAUGHTERS

For every mother, father, and loved one whose heart is stretched across miles and oceans, we lift this prayer.

May God place a shield of protection around our sons and daughters who are deployed.
May He guide their steps, steady their hands, and watch over them through every mission and every moment.

For the parents who wait, who pray, and who carry both pride and worry in the same breath, may you be given peace, strength, and comfort.

May you feel the presence of God in the quiet moments, the long nights, and the uncertain days.
May hope remain stronger than fear, and faith stronger than distance.

To every parent with a child in uniform:
you are seen, your prayers are heard, and your love travels farther than any deployment ever could.

We pray for their safe return home.

Amen.

Morehouse Lacrosse Invitational

The Department of Georgia American Gold Star Mothers was deeply honored to be invited to the Morehouse Lacrosse Invitational, where our families were recognized during halftime of the Army vs. Michigan game.

During this special tribute, our sons were honored for their service and sacrifice, and their legacies were lifted before the community in a meaningful and public way.

This event also provided an important opportunity to educate future soldiers and young leaders about Gold Star Families, helping them better understand the meaning of sacrifice, remembrance, and the enduring bond between our fallen heroes and their families.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share our stories, honor our sons, and inspire future generations through education and remembrance.
